It appears that an anti-inflamitory drug when combined with cancer drug therapies may in fact aid cancer patients battling lung cancer. Celebrex, is the name of the drug, a drug manufactured by the giant drug manufacturer Pfizer, and when combined with the drug Tarceva, is said to improve response in lung cancer patients by more than 25%.
Due to the severity of the disease, the fact that something has been found that will aid patients to live longer, more fulfilling lives is great news to cancer patients currently dealing with the disease, a form of disease that statistics show will kill 160000 US residents this year alone.
