Hijacked Live Broadcast Realitatea TV - This is a unique event in the media around the world when, during live broadcast, a TV station is split in two

On the 23rd of October 2011, film director Florin Iepan and Mr. Mikhail Zaslavsky were invited to a live broadcast at a Romanian TV station called Realitatea (Reality) TV. While the programme was underway, the broadcast was hijacked by another station under the same name. The new Realitatea TV was broadcasting in the same time from other location, another live show about the earthquake in Turkey and was carried by all major cable operators in the country. This is a unique event in the media around the world when, during live broadcast, a TV station is split in two, without the viewers and the guests in the studio knowing what was going on. Mikhail Zaslavsky, the sole living survivor of the massacre from October 1941, perpetrated by The Romanian Army, when 20.000 civilians were murdered in the occupied town of Odessa was about to tell, for the first time, his story to the Romanian audience. Due to the breakup of RealitateaTV his testimony reached a very limited number of Romanians (if any). The documentary film crew working on the film "Odessa", directed by Florin Iepan were in the studio and recorded this footage.
